Product Spotlight: Schneider's new PanelSeT SFN and ClimaSys CU
A Net Zero Hero
The PanelSet SFN floor-standing, modular, decarbonised steel enclosure is designed to be flexible, reliable, sustainable and efficient. This range is the first to be manufactured using steel produced with 50% recycled materials and renewable energy sources.
The PanelSeT SFN achieves a 34% reduction in CO2 emissions compared with the current Spacial SF range, which it will eventually supersede.
More Flexibility
Designed for indoor industrial environments, the enclosures have an ingress protection of IP55 and an impact rating of IK10 (transparent door version: IK08). They are fully compliant with international standards and certifications including UL, Bureau Veritas, Dekra & DNV-GL.
Several purchase options are available for even more flexibility. They can be supplied either pre-assembled, in kit form for easier transport and storage or even fully customised (specific dimensions, cut-outs, special colours, anti-corrosion coating, pre-assembly of accessories & serigraphy are all available). This flexibility allows up to 1000 different dimensions and can be assembled in unrivalled geometrical possibilities, such as L, T, H, and U configurations. The enclosures can be coupled with the existing Spacial SF range and are compatible with the current SF accessories, reducing wastage if you already have accessories for the SF range of products.
Time-saving benefits include a quick-fixing system for internal mounting plates, easier door removal due to semi-closed hinges and quick-fixing panels featuring captive screws. It is also now possible to install two doors in the same corner. The enclosures feature a new ergonomic and convenient handle.
The Schneider PanelSeT SFN is capable of 1500kg static load, thanks to the unique profile section which has 16 folds and full connections to minimise deformation, which is a 50% increase vs. the current Spacial SF range.
The Connected Cooling Solution
With the tagline "less energy, more cool", Schneider is raising the bar for cooling. The ClimaSys CU Cooling Units will make your manufacturing process more dependable. This new range of cooling units have been optimised in three main ways.
In terms of sustainability, the cooling units feature a better energy efficiency ratio (EER). Size and weight have changed too. These units are 30% smaller, meaning they fit into smaller spaces and are easier to install than before. The lighter, slimmer design results in a 40% reduction of refrigerant gas per unit, compared with the current range.
For reliability, these units feature an integrated alarm and communication system, as well as three redundancy modes, serial, backup and sequential for critical applications. Communication is made simple with native Modbus RTU and they are EcoStruxure ready, so you can stay informed about the operating status of your cooling systems and any temperature conditions.
Product selection is made simple and efficient by offering three mounting options for side indoor cooling units: surface, half-flush & full-flush. There are now just 40 references, all featuring dual compliances with IEC and UL. Choose the right product easily using...
ProClima Web
Choosing the right thermal solution doesn't have to be difficult or require you to carry out complicated calculations to achieve the elusive nominal 35°C, for optimal electrical component performance in your enclosure. Schneider has an outstanding thermal solution selection and configuration tool called ProClima Web, which is always up-to-date and can suggest cooling unit references from the new range of products, ensuring your next purchase will be the latest model with the newest technology and energy efficiency.
ProClima Web's latest version is 100% interfaced with SEE Electrical 2D and 3D versions. This means you are able to choose an enclosure with either of the SEE tools, then import these into ProClima and see the optimal thermal solution for your chosen enclosure.
If you are looking to upgrade your current Schneider cooling unit to the new connected cooling unit, retrofit kits are available.
