We are delighted to announce as of 10th March 2025, the iLECSYS Group has become an Employee Ownership Trust (EOT). Since its inception in 1993, the focus always has been and will continue to be 'putting it's people first", and this transition ensures that this ethos will continue to shape the company's future.
The iLECSYS Group structure will remain intact with iLECSYS Ltd and iLECSYS Rail Ltd continuing under iLECSYS Group (Trading) Ltd, now with the EOT as its parent company. Day-to-day operations will remain unchanged under the guidance of James Allen and Lewis Westbury, with the support of the management team.
The transition to an EOT is a strategic step to benefit both employees and customers by:
- Ensuring continuity of the business strategy, maintaining the highest level of customer service and requirements.
- Safeguarding the employment and future of our employees while rewarding them with the additional benefits the EOT offers.
- Maintaining a nurturing and progressive workplace that supports staff development and future business growth.
The decision to move to an EOT was driven by the desire to sustain growth and innovation in an ever-changing industry. Grace Tipson, Founder and Trustee Director of iLECSYS, reflected on this significant milestone:
"Over the years I have had numerous comments regarding the success of iLECSYS. At the end of the day, although I have steered the ship for 32 years, it is the people that I work with, their dedication, their insight, their passion that has all contributed to making the business what it is.
It is therefore absolutely the right thing to do in allowing the succession of the company to be in their hands. This was fundamentally the reason for the transition of the shares to an Employee Ownership Trust. We have a fantastic group of people working for iLECSYS supported by a strong management team. It's over to you guys now. I will continue to be there for you and support whenever you need me but I know you will do an amazing job"
James Allen, Managing Director of iLECSYS, also shared his thoughts on the transition:

It secures the future of iLECSYS in the hands of the people who have built and shaped it. I am excited for journey ahead and confident that together, we will continue to achieve remarkable success."
Lewis Westbury, Managing Director of iLECSYS Rail, expressed his enthusiasm for the new structure:
"Our employees really do form the foundation of our business. By creating this EOT it will ensure that we continue to grow, innovate and offer a first-class service to our customers. There are many exciting times ahead which I am very proud to be part of. Our growth and success over the years, particularly in the UK rail sector, has been down to the dedication and commitment by each and every member of the iLECSYS team. The EOT now offers every member of the team to be part of the company's future successes"
The day-to-day operations at our Head Office in Princes Risborough and branches in Crawley and Warrington, will continue without disruption.
